77 players sold in IPL 2026 auction, Indian uncapped players got silver

The player auction for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) took place on 16 December. A total of 77 players were sold in this mini auction held in Abu Dhabi. Australian all-rounder Cameron Green was the most expensive. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) bought him for a record price of Rs 25.20 crore. Apart from this, KKR also spent a lot of money on Mathisha Pathirana (18 crores) and Mustafizur Rahman (9.20 crores).

 

Chennai Super Kings made record bids on Indian uncapped players Prashant Veer (14.2 crore) and Karthik Sharma (14.2 crore). On the other hand, Jammu and Kashmir fast bowler Aaqib Nabi was bought by Delhi Capitals for Rs 8 crore 40 lakh. Mangesh Yadav was included in their team by Royal Challengers Bangalore for 5.20 crores.
