News Desk. A very good news has emerged for Aligarh and Hathras districts of Uttar Pradesh. A proposal for construction of a new state highway has been prepared with the aim of connecting both the districts with better road facilities. Keeping in mind the population and ever increasing traffic pressure, the Public Works Department (PWD) has sent this proposal to the government.
Aligarh to Sambhal via Sasni
The proposed state highway will go from Aligarh to Sambhal via Sasni. This new state road will connect NH-509 and NH-32. At present, the roads on this route come under the category of Additional District Road (ODR), which causes problems in traffic due to their less width.
People of four districts will benefit directly
The total length of this new state highway has been proposed to be about 81.41 kilometers. With its construction, people of Aligarh, Hathras, Agra and Sambhal will get direct benefits. Currently, to reach Sambhal, people have to travel more than 105 kilometers via Aligarh and Atrauli, which takes two to two and a half hours. After construction of the new state highway, this distance will reduce considerably and people will be able to reach Sambal in one to one and a half hours.
The compulsion to come to Aligarh will end
With the construction of this road, people of Sasni, Hathras and Agra will not have to come to Aligarh to get relief. They will be able to reach Sambhal directly from the new state highway via Sasni. This will also reduce the increasing traffic pressure on the roads of Aligarh city.
The new road will be 10 meters wide
The Public Works Department has prepared a proposal to make this state highway 10 meters wide. At present the width of ODR routes is only 5 meters or even less at many places. The road will be widened as per the new standards. For this, land will also be acquired wherever needed in Aligarh, Sasni and Sambhal areas.
Travel will be easy and safe
With the construction of a new state highway, not only will the distance and time be reduced, but due to the better quality of the road, travel will also become more safe and comfortable. This route will prove to be very important especially in terms of trade, education and health services.
