Security increased in Delhi due to New Year celebrations, 3000 policemen deployed in the capital

New Year will be celebrated across the world tonight. Preparations are going on to celebrate the New Year in the capital Delhi. In view of this, Delhi Police has tightened security arrangements in the capital. For which 3000 policemen have been deployed in Delhi. According to Delhi Police Joint Commissioner Sanjay Kumar Jain, tight security has been planned across Delhi.

He said, “Like every year, Delhi Police has made elaborate security arrangements for this New Year. We have deployed static and mobile patrolling teams at various locations.” The Joint Commissioner of Police said that, more than 50 checkpoints have been made across the city to prevent violations of traffic rules and to check drink driving using breath analyzers.

Police will keep an eye everywhere from markets to malls

According to the Joint Commissioner of Delhi Police, around 60 party zones, including popular markets, malls and nightclubs, have been identified in view of the New Year, where intensive checking will be done. He said, “Police officials have held separate meetings with the owners of night clubs and restaurants and urged them to act as responsible establishments.

Along with this, they have been requested not to serve liquor to minors and to close their establishments on time. The Joint Commissioner of Police said, “About 3,000 police personnel will be deployed to ensure movement, prevent untoward incidents and control the crowd. During this time, strict action will be taken against those who violate the rules.”

Crowd of devotees gathering in Ayodhya

On the other hand, a huge crowd of devotees is gathering in Ayodhya, the city of Lord Ram, on the occasion of New Year. In view of this, the authorities have divided the entire temple town into sectors and zones. Along with this, a large number of security forces have been deployed. The crowd is being monitored through CCTV cameras and drones. Along with this, the police is also checking the vehicles and strictly enforcing the rules of driving under the influence of alcohol.
