Also, a warning of rain has been issued tomorrow i.e. on the occasion of New Year. Due to the effect of cold wave, the chill has increased.

Delhi’s pollution reaches dangerous level

The overall AQI of Delhi has been recorded at 383. The effect of snowfall in hilly states is being seen in Delhi-NCR. According to Sameer App, at 6 am on Wednesday, pollution has been recorded in dangerous condition at 37 of the 38 active AQI monitoring centers in Delhi. AQI of 15 areas has been recorded in the dark red zone. Apart from this, there is red alert of pollution in 23 areas, where AQI remains between 300 to 400. The highest AQI of Anand Vihar has been recorded at 452, while the lowest AQI of NSIT Dwarka has been recorded at 297.

Flights affected at airport, Indigo issued advisory

Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport has issued a passenger advisory due to dense fog. According to airport officials, low visibility procedures are in place, which may lead to delay or cancellation of flights. IndiGo said in its travel advisory, ‘Dense fog conditions are prevailing in many airports of Delhi and North India in the morning. If visibility is low, flight movement may be affected during the day. We are monitoring the situation and making necessary changes. Check your flight status before going to the airport. Road traffic may also be affected, so keep extra time.
