Noida Police’s ‘Brahmastra’ on hoodlums! Section 163 implemented in the city, celebrations without permission will lead to jail
The whole country is ready to celebrate the New Year. Noida’s hotels and restaurants are also decorated. Meanwhile, Noida Police has taken a big step to maintain law and order on the occasion of New Year. Section 163 has been imposed in the city. This order will be effective in the entire Gautam Buddha Nagar Police Commissionerate area from 12 midnight of 31 December 2025 to 12 midnight of 1 January 2026.
According to police officials, there is a possibility of unrest, disturbance and rumors in view of the huge crowd, celebrations and events in the city on the occasion of New Year. Keeping this in mind, this order has been issued, so that any kind of law and order situation can be brought under control immediately.
Ban on gathering of more than five people
Under Section 163, any procession, demonstration or grouping of 5 or more people without the permission of the Police Commissioner or competent officer will be prohibited. However, programs that have received prior permission from the administration may be exempted from this rule.
Ban on drones and loudspeakers
There will be a complete ban on flying drones in the entire district. Drone shooting or photography cannot be done at any place without police permission. Apart from this, there will be a complete ban on the use of loudspeakers from 10 pm to 6 am. Decibel limits have been set for religious places, residential, industrial and commercial areas.
According to police officials, under Section 163, namaz, puja, procession or other religious events will be banned on public roads, intersections and open places. In case of emergency, it will be mandatory to take permission from the Police Commissioner or a higher officer. There will also be a complete ban on weapons. Carrying sharp weapons like sword, dagger, axe, trident, knife will be prohibited. Joyful firing will be completely banned during weddings, processions or other occasions. Storing any type of inflammable or explosive material will be considered a crime.
Strictness on alcohol and drugs
Consumption of alcohol or intoxicants will be completely prohibited in public places. Strict legal action will be taken against those who break the rules. Action will also be taken against spreading rumors or inflammatory material through audio, video, social media or any other medium. Strict action will be taken against those who create ruckus, create ruckus after drinking alcohol and misbehave with government employees.
Noida Police has appealed to the citizens to celebrate the New Year peacefully and within the ambit of law, avoid rumors and cooperate with the police and administration. Police say that immediate and strict action will be taken against those who violate the rules.
