DST action before New Year, 150 kg explosives recovered in Tonk, accused were carrying it by hiding it in manure.

In this action taken on the basis of intelligence, 150 kg of dangerous explosives were recovered, which the accused were carrying hidden in manure bins.

Explosives hidden in urea containers
DST had already received information about a suspicious consignment. Without any delay, the team set up blockade in Baroni police station area of Tonk. As soon as a car arrived in suspicious condition, the police stopped it. From outside it looked like a normal vehicle, but there was a big danger hidden inside. When the police searched the car, she was stunned. 150 kg of ammonium nitrate was being carried hidden inside the boxes of urea fertilizer kept in the vehicle. This is the same chemical which can be misused to cause big explosions. The accused tried to carry it by hiding it in the form of manure, so that no one would raise suspicion on the way.
1100 safety fuse wires were also recovered
Not only ammonium nitrate, but also 200 explosive cartridges and about 1100 safety fuse wires were recovered from the car. Such a huge quantity clearly indicated that the matter was not of any small crime but of an organized network. The police immediately seized the car.
two accused arrested
In this case, the police arrested two people from the spot. Both have been identified as Surendra Patwa and Surendra Mochi, who are said to be residents of Bundi district of Rajasthan. Initial investigation has revealed that the explosive material was being brought from Bundi to Tonk. However, the police is trying to find out from where this material was brought and for what purpose it was to be used.

DSP Mrityunjay Mishra confirmed the action and said that explosives have been recovered from a Maruti Ciaz car. He said that the entire action was taken on the basis of accurate information and investigation is being done from every angle.

Ammonium nitrate is a very sensitive chemical, which can cause huge destruction if it falls into the wrong hands. The timely arrest of this consignment not only shows the vigilance of the police, but also shows how important it is to keep an eye on the illegal explosives business.
