Maharashtra : Before the upcoming Maharashtra Municipal Corporation elections, positive signs have emerged for the Bharatiya Janata Party. Even before voting, the party has opened its accounts in many cities. Four BJP candidates have been elected unopposed in Kalyan-Dombivli, Navi Mumbai (Navel) and Dhule Municipal Corporations. Due to this, BJP has got an initial lead in the electoral environment.

Unopposed victory in Kalyan-Dombivli
Let us tell you that no opponent filed nomination against BJP candidates in Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation. Rekha Rajan Chaudhary was elected from Kalyan East ward and Asavari Kedar Navre was elected unopposed from Dombivali East ward. However, his official victory will be announced only after the nomination scrutiny and release of the final list. The strong hold of BJP in these areas is being considered as the main reason for this.

BJP’s account in Navi Mumbai and Dhule also
Nitin Patil became councilor unopposed from ward number 18-B in Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation. Initially, after the nomination of other party candidates was rejected, only BJP candidates were left in the fray. With the unopposed victory of Ujjwal Bhosale in Dhule Municipal Corporation, the party has registered its presence there also. Thus far, four BJP candidates have been elected unopposed.

After these victories, BJP State President Ravindra Chavan and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis congratulated the winning candidates. He described this as a sign of increasing public support towards the party and the strength of the organization. An atmosphere of enthusiasm and celebration was seen among BJP workers due to this news in Kalyan-Dombivli.

Maharashtra Municipal Corporation Election 2026 Schedule
Maharashtra State Election Commission has announced the election schedule of 29 municipal corporations. Voting will be held in all municipal corporations on January 15 and counting of votes will be done on January 16. The nomination process will run from December 23 to December 30, the scrutiny will be held on December 31 and the last date for withdrawal of nominations has been fixed as January 2. The final candidate list and election symbols will be released on January 3. A total of 2869 seats will be contested in these elections, which are being held after a long time, due to which a big change can be seen in the politics of the state.
