India tests two Pralay missiles, world shocked!
New Delhi. India has attracted the attention of the world by impressively showcasing its defense capability on the last day of the year. Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) successfully test-fired two consecutive ‘Pralaya’ missiles from the same launcher from the Integrated Test Range in Chandipur, Odisha. This test is not only considered important from a technical point of view, but also gives new strength to the operational preparedness of the Indian Army.
Important phase of user evaluation trial
According to DRDO, this test was part of the User Evaluation Trial, that is, it was conducted keeping in mind the actual military needs and circumstances. Both the missiles followed the planned path exactly and successfully completed all the assigned flight objectives.
Two missiles from the same launcher: a big achievement
The successful launch of two missiles in a short span of time from the same launcher is considered a significant achievement in India’s military technology. This proves that this system is fully prepared for fast response and multi-target capability, which is extremely important in modern war conditions.
What is the great power of this Doomsday missile?
Pralay is a short-range ballistic missile, whose strike range is said to be around 150 to 500 kilometers. This missile is capable of carrying out highly accurate attacks on strategic targets like enemy radar stations, command and control centres, airbases and runways. Pralay can carry a conventional warhead ranging from 500 to 1,000 kg, which further increases its destructive capability.
Big step towards self-reliant India
Pralay missile has been developed completely with indigenous technology. This is an important step towards strengthening India’s defense production capacity and reducing dependence on foreign weapon systems. This effort of DRDO not only increases the security of the country but also gives new impetus to the domestic defense industry.
