Now professional guides will be prepared at the local level for the convenience of the tourists visiting the historical forts, natural heritage and religious places of the district. Assistant Tourism Officer Rajesh Bharti said that a local level tourist guide training program is being organized with the aim of connecting the residents of Sonbhadra with self-employment.
Sonbhadra is famous for its historical heritage and eco-tourism. There is a need for trained guides to provide correct information and assistance to Indian and foreign tourists visiting here. This training will not only organize tourism but will also open new sources of income for local youth, students and researchers. Last date of application is January 5, 2026 (05:00 PM). Place of submission of application: District Information Office, Room No. 32, Collectorate Sonbhadra. Screening of Applicants 6th January, 2026 (02:00 PM onwards) Collectorate Auditorium.
Location of Training Indian Bank Rural Training Institute (R-SETI), Lodhi, Sonbhadra. Training period starts from 7th January, 2026 (Total 10 days programme). Training timings are from 10:00 AM to 05:00 PM. Native residents of Sonbhadra district can apply for this training. Following are the main points of eligibility. Age limit between 18 years to 50 years.
Categories: Hoteliers, tour-travel operators, researchers, students and people associated with tourism business. Facilities: Free accommodation and food arrangements have been made for the selected trainees. According to the Assistant Tourism Officer, the main objective of this 10-day training is to make the local people aware of the heritage of Sonbhadra and the nuances of guiding. This will provide a better experience to the tourists and the identity of the historical and natural heritage of the district will be further strengthened on the global stage.
