IGL reiterates its commitment to make clean energy accessible and affordable as we enter 2026 with the announcement of PNG tariff reduction. This cut in the price of PNG has come at a time when the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) has decided to implement a unified tariff system. Due to this, along with reduction in gas transport tariff, retail rates have also come down. IGL had earlier changed the prices of domestic gas supplied through the pipeline on October 18, 2025.

Let us tell you that many economic changes are going to happen from January 1, 2026, due to this it is expected that oil companies may also reduce the prices of domestic gas cylinders i.e. LPG. Along with this, the price of CNG gas used as fuel in vehicles is also expected to reduce. Earlier, gas supply company Think Gas had also announced to reduce the prices of CNG and PNG in many states. Natural gas is used as a fuel in vehicles, in home cooking, in fertilizer manufacturing, and in power generation.
