Decisive role of youth in deciding the direction of society: Mohan Bhagwat

Raipur. Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat said on Wednesday that it is difficult to survive without human sensitivities. He said that the role of youth is decisive in deciding the direction of the society. Dr. Bhagwat addressed the youth dialogue program organized at AIIMS Auditorium here. He discussed with the youth on topics like their role in nation building, social concern along with career, cultural consciousness and ‘Panch Parivartan’ (social harmony, environment, family enlightenment etc.). Doctors, engineers, lawyers, chartered accountants, startup entrepreneurs and about 2,000 youth associated with the social sector were invited to this dialogue. Dr. Bhagwat appealed to the youth to remain connected to cultural consciousness and social concerns along with career.

Sarsanghchalak Dr. Bhagwat said regarding the Aravalli Mountains that till now the world has not been able to find such a development model in which environment and development can go together. He said that a balanced option has to be found so that there is parallel development of both infrastructure and environment. On youth and increasing drug addiction, he said that today’s youth is feeling alone. Communication with family has reduced. Due to lack of communication, youth are facing mobile phones and drugs as alternatives.

Regarding conversion and religious conversion, Dr. Bhagwat said that we should go to him. Respect and love should be given. We should do something so that they can move forward from backwardness. In such a situation, they will believe that our people are standing with us and they will start coming to their core but we will have to instill confidence in them.

Expressing concern over the increasing problem of drug addiction among the youth, Dr. Bhagwat said that the youth are feeling lonely. According to him, this loneliness pushes him towards addiction. He described the issue as social and family, stressing the need to devote more time to families and connect with youth.

He suggested that the society should be more sensitive and supportive towards each other so that the youth do not feel lonely. While communicating with the youth, he said that the educated youth of the country should not be limited to career only, but should keep their sensibilities towards the society alive.
