New Delhi. New Year celebrations have started in New Zealand. Thousands of people are gathering and celebrating in Auckland. During this time spectacular fireworks are also taking place. New Zealand is the second country to welcome the New Year. The first place to welcome the New Year is Kiritimati Island, country Kiribati, located in the Pacific Ocean, where the New Year is welcomed first.
