Haryana: Director of nursing college arrested in Haryana, know the whole matter
Haryana News: Police has arrested Jagdish Goswami, the director of Khushi Nursing College of Kagsar village located in Narnaund area of Hansi district of Haryana. This arrest has been made not on charges of sexual exploitation, but under the SC/ST Act.
Statements of 8 girl students recorded before the magistrate
On Tuesday (31 December), statements of about 8 girl students were recorded in the Magistrate Court of Hansi. Among these, a student from the Dalit community alleged in the statement that the college director used casteist words and comments.
After this statement, sections of the SC/ST Act were added to the FIR lodged earlier by the girl students, on the basis of which the police arrested the operator.
Girls students have been sitting on strike for 5 days
The students of Khushi Nursing College have been sitting on strike for the last 5 days. The girl students allege that the college director used to behave indecently with them.
According to the girl students, the operator used to address them with objectionable words. He used to enter the hostel rooms at night without permission and when the boys’ brothers came to meet him, he was insulted by calling them boyfriends.
Allegations of sexual harassment have also been made
Many girl students have also made serious allegations of sexual harassment against the college director. However, at present the police has taken action under the SC/ST Act, while the investigation into other allegations is said to be ongoing.
