Shefali Verma and Renuka Singh shine in the rankings, Harmanpreet Kaur did not get a place in the top 10.
New Delhi 31 December 2025: Shefali Verma and Renuka Singh make a splash in the ICC rankings Indian women’s cricket team opener Shefali Verma has achieved great success in the latest ICC T20 batting rankings. Not only Shefali but fast bowler Renuka Singh has also done wonders in the ICC rankings. Both have been awarded for their excellent performance in the fourth T20 match.
In the fourth T20I in Thiruvananthapuram, Shefali scored 79 runs, while Renuka deprived Sri Lanka of victory by taking four wickets. Based on this performance, the ranking of both the teams has improved.
Shefali has moved up four places to reach the sixth position. She destroyed the Sri Lankan bowlers in her innings of 46 balls and made an opening partnership of 162 runs with Smriti Mandhana. This partnership helped India make their highest score of 221 in T20Is. Mandhana is third in the ODI rankings. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur has not got much opportunity to bat in this series, and that is why her ranking is not so good. He is not in the top 10, he is at 15th rank.
Renuka has moved up eight places in the rankings for T20 bowlers and is now at seventh position. Wicketkeeper-batsman Richa Ghosh, who scored an unbeaten 40 off 14 balls, has also moved up seven places to 20th in the rankings.
