In the video, Masood showed his UAE visa on camera and said that all the allegations leveled against him are false and part of a political conspiracy. He said, “I have nothing to do directly or indirectly with the murder of Sharif Usman Hadi. Fake and fabricated news is being spread against me.”

Faisal Karim Masood Alleged that Jamaat-Shibir may have a hand in Hadi’s murder. She also clarified that her relationship with Hadi was only professional. Hadi was the spokesperson of ‘Inquilab Manch’.

What did Masood say?

According to Faisal Karim Masood, he runs a company named ‘Apple Soft’ and has been working as a software engineer and game developer for the last ten years. Masood claimed that he had created a game named ‘Battle of 1971’, for which he also received a national award in Bangladesh.

Masood had donated to Hadi’s party

Masood says that he has earned 20 to 30 crore taka from his business. He also admitted that he had donated to Hadi’s party, but this was in exchange for the promise of government contracts, and not for any illegal activity. According to him, after the fall of Sheikh Hasina government, his work was affected and he had to suffer financial losses. During this time he contacted Hadi for help.

Masood claims that Hadi had asked him for 5 lakh taka in cash, which he gave. She also said that Hadi later demanded office space and manpower for rallies. Masood said that the people whom he made available for the rallies are now also being wrongly implicated in this murder case.

Where was Masood on the day of the murder?

According to Massoud, Hadi had again asked for his help for a political event proposed on 16 December. For this reason he delayed returning to Bangladesh. On the day of the murder, Masood claims that he had left Hadi’s place about 10 minutes before the incident.

Motorcycle and ‘conspiracy’ allegations

Giving clarification on the allegations related to the motorcycle, Masood said that the bike is his, but he himself does not know how to ride the bike. According to him, on the day of the murder, his friend Alamgir was driving the bike and he was sitting behind. He claimed that they had gone to a resort and the woman present there was Alamgir’s girlfriend. Masood alleged that Bangladeshi officials are targeting the woman and questioning her character.

Masood also alleged that the police changed the bike number, tried to show his bag as a bag of weapons and put pressure on his father, who has suffered a brain stroke twice, to identify the bike. He termed the entire matter as ‘drama’.

What is the matter?

Sharif Osman Hadi was shot dead at around 2:25 pm on 12 December 2025 while leaving a mosque in Dhaka’s Paltan area. Bangladeshi agencies are investigating the matter. At present, there is a clear conflict between the claims of the accused and the government statements.
