Amidst the chaos and celebrations, there were some notable performances by some highly-skilled individuals, who made headlines with some stunning displays and ended the year on top of the charts in the stats department across all three formats.
In 2025, Shubman Gill was India’s top overall run-scorer, amassing a whopping 1764 runs across formats, while left-arm wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav was the top wicket-taker with 60 scalps across all three formats.
Mohammed Siraj topped red-ball charts with 43 Test wickets, and Abhishek Sharma shone in T20Is with 859 runs. In women’s Cricket, Smriti Mandhana enjoyed a remarkable year with 1703 runs.
