Mumbai: Famous Bollywood actor Dharmendra’s last film ‘Ikkis’ is going to be released in theaters on January 1, 2026. This film is produced by his sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol. Dharmendra passed away on 24 November 2025, after which this film has become a special gift for his fans. Advance booking of the film has started and the Deol brothers have shared an emotional message on social media.
Sunny and Bobby’s emotional message for ‘Ikkis’
The film ‘Ikkis’ is a biopic war drama, based on the story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, the youngest Param Vir Chakra winner, who was martyred in the India-Pakistan war of 1971. Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda will be seen in this role, while Dharmendra is playing the role of his father Brigadier ML Khetrapal. The film also stars Jaideep Ahlawat, Simar Bhatia and other actors. It is directed by director Sriram Raghavan, who is known for successful films like ‘Andhadhun’.

Film appreciated in special screening
The entire Deol family including Sunny, Bobby, Abhay Deol were present in the special screening of the film. Salman Khan, Rekha and many other stars were also there. Everyone praised Dharmendra’s performance. Casting director Mukesh Chhabra said that the film has been made from the heart and it breaks the heart to see the grace of Dharmendra sir. Anil Sharma and Ameesha Patel also called it emotional and beautiful. This is the theatrical debut of Agastya Nanda and he is seen working very hard.
Dharmendra ji worked in more than 300 films and played many memorable roles starting from Veeru of ‘Sholay’. His final film reflected the bravery of war and the emotions of family. This is the best way to pay tribute to him by visiting theaters on New Year.
