India upheld the dignity of Lord Ram in Operation Sindoor, Rajnath Singh roared in Ayodhya, saying the temple movement is one of the world’s grand narratives.
New Delhi. Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, while addressing the ‘Pratishtha Dwadashi Ceremony’ organized on the occasion of the second anniversary of Ram Mandir Pran Pratistha in Ayodhya, said that today is a moment of utmost pride for all of us. This is the same Ayodhya, the same land, which remained bloodstained for years, which waited unbearably for its Ram, for its king, for its worshipper. The one who endured insults and pain but still did not let his faith waver. I feel that the Ram Mandir movement is one of the grand narratives of the world. The Defense Minister said, Lord Ram is one of the greatest warriors in our history. Lord Rama did not cross his limits even while fighting the enemy. During Operation ‘Sindoor’, India also followed the same dignity of Lord Ram.

Rajnath said, as if Ram’s goal was not to kill Ravana, but to end unrighteousness. We also had the same goal, that we would teach a lesson to the terrorists and their masters and we did just that. We did not react indiscriminately, but took limited, controlled and purposeful action. Ram’s dignity teaches us that values should survive even in war. Operation ‘Sindoor’ also proved that modern India is the true heir of the dignity of Ram. Today, under the strong leadership of the double engine government, Ayodhya is witnessing unprecedented change. In accordance with the visionary thinking of our Prime Minister, world-class infrastructure is being built here while preserving faith, culture and history. This development is a symbol of pride not only of Ayodhya but of entire India.

The Defense Minister said that I am calling the temple movement a grand narrative because the Ram temple movement is the biggest movement in the world both in terms of geography and time. If you look geographically, there are India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand and many such countries, where apart from Hindus, there are many communities who worship Ram and wanted to see a temple built on the birthplace. Even if you look at the time, hardly any community in any part of the world has waited for the construction of a grand temple of their own worshiper on their birthplace in a non-violent manner for 500 consecutive years.
