Why is Jasprit Bumrah not playing the second test, captain Shubhman Gill said Gujarati
The second test match is being played between India and England in Birmingham, in which England won the toss and invited India to bat first. In this match, Team India management has kept its main bowler Jasprit Bumrah out of the playing eleven, in his place Akashdeep has been included in the pace attack.
After losing the toss, Shubman Gill said, “There have been 3 changes in our team. Nitish Reddy, Washington Sundar and Akashdeep have come in the team. Jasprit Bumrah is not playing. The reason for this is his workload management. We got a very big and good break and this is a very important match for us.” When the third match is played at Lord’s, we will be able to use it well there.
Gave a big statement on Kuldeep also
Indian Test captain Shubhman Gilley has also given an important statement regarding not playing Kuldeep Yadav. Instead of playing the main spinner in the form of Kuldeep, Team India has included all-rounder Washington Sundar in the playing eleven. Gill said, “We were thinking of playing Kuldeep, but in the last match our lower order batting was not good, so Sundar was selected to add depth to the batting.”
India trails 0-1 in the series
The first test match between India and England started on 20 June at Headingley Cricket Ground in Leeds. In that match, India scored a total of 5 centuries in both the innings, due to which the Indian team had set a huge target of 371 runs against England in the fourth innings. But due to weak bowling and poor fielding, Team India could not defend this huge target.
