Spirit first look out: Prabhas bloodied back and Triptii’s calm flame poster promises box- office massacre

New Delhi: As the clock struck midnight to welcome the New Year, fans of Prabhas got the “best gift” they could hope for – the intense first-look poster of Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s much-awaited film Spirit.

The makers chose the same dramatic timing as Vanga’s last film, Animalunveiling the poster exactly at 12 am with the caption, “Let’s welcome the New Year with the first poster high on #Spirit.” Social media instantly lit up with excitement as the bruised, raw, and stylish new avatar of Prabhas took over timelines.

Bruised Prabhas, calm Triptii

The poster sets a dark and intense mood for Spirit. Prabhas is seen shirtless, with his back to the camera, sporting long hair, a thick beard and moustache, his body covered with bruises and multiple bandages on his shoulder, arm and back, hinting at a man shaped by violence and conflict.

He wears loose white trousers, holds a glass of alcohol in one hand and a cigarette between his lips, while Triptii Dimri, dressed in a simple, muted saree, stands close, calmly lighting his cigarette. The indoor setting, with natural light streaming in and a faint city skyline in the background, adds to the quietly intense vibe between their characters.

Makers’ message and fan reactions

Sharing the poster, the makers wrote, “You loved what existed before. Now fall in love with what you never knew existed,” promising something fresh from the team. Fans quickly flooded the comments, calling it the perfect New Year’s surprise.

One user called it the “Best gift for fans,” while another wrote, “The King is bleeding, but the swagger is untouched. This look is absolute carnage. If this is just the poster, the teaser is going to melt servers. #Spirit is going to be a monster.”

Spirit Cast, crew and release plans

Spirit stars Prabhas and Triptii Dimri in the lead, along with Vivek Oberoi, Kanchana and Prakash Raj in key roles. It is believed Prabhas will play a cop, while Triptii will be seen as his love interest.

Reports earlier suggested Deepika Padukone was in the running for Triptii’s role but stepped away due to work-hour issues with Vanga, after which Triptii came on board. The film is written, edited and directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Pranay Reddy Vanga, Krishan Kumar and Prabhakar Reddy Vanga.

The makers are reportedly planning a massive multi-language release in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Mandarin, Japanese and Korean. An audio teaser in five Indian languages was already released on Prabhas’ 46th birthday, and Spirit is scheduled to hit theatres in 2026.
