Apollo Micro Systems shares jump over 2% after Rs 150 crore defence contract win

Shares of Apollo Micro Systems moved over 2% higher in early trade after the company announced a fresh defence-related contract, strengthening its execution pipeline amid rising domestic defence manufacturing activity.

In a regulatory filing dated January 1, 2026, Apollo Micro Systems informed exchanges that its wholly owned subsidiary, Apollo Defense Industries Private Limitedhas entered into an agreement for the execution of a contract valued at ₹1,500 million, or ₹150 crore. The order has been secured from a private company and has been awarded in the ordinary course of business, highlighting steady operational momentum rather than a one-off transaction.

The company clarified that the contract relates to execution work and will be handled entirely by Apollo Defense Industries. While specific project details were not disclosed, the development adds visibility to Apollo Micro Systems’ defence order book at a time when India’s indigenous defence production ecosystem continues to scale up across electronics, systems integration, and advanced manufacturing.
