Bharat Taxi Cab Booking: A new government cab service Bharat Taxi has been officially launched on the streets of the capital Delhi from today. This government-backed cooperative cab service has emerged as a strong and reliable option for the common people amidst the increasing arbitrariness, surge pricing and frequent complaints of private ride-hailing companies. Bharat Taxi aims to provide affordable, safe and transparent taxi service to the passengers, which will directly challenge the monopoly system of private companies.

The world’s largest driver-owned network

Bharat Taxi is being projected as the world’s largest driver-owned cooperative network. More than 56,000 drivers have already registered on this platform across auto, car and bike categories in Delhi and Gujarat. Although at present this service has not been implemented in the entire country, but it has started in Delhi from today. There are plans to expand it to other states also in the coming time.

The official Bharat Taxi mobile app has been launched for booking Bharat Taxi. This app is available on both Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Passengers can download the Rider App to book a ride, while drivers wishing to join the platform will need to download the Driver App. The thing to pay special attention here is that download only the Bharat Taxi app which is released by Sahakar Taxi Cooperative Limited, because some other applications are also available on the App Store by the name Bharat Taxi.

No surge pricing, fixed and transparent fares

The biggest feature of this government cab service is its fare structure. There will be no system like surge pricing in Bharat Taxi. That means passengers will not be charged arbitrary fare even during peak hours, traffic or bad weather. This is the reason why it is being considered the biggest challenge for private companies like Ola-Uber.

Drivers will get more than 80% fare

According to the taxi cooperative, drivers on the Bharat Taxi platform will receive the full amount paid by passengers, with more than 80 percent going to the drivers. This will increase the income of drivers and they will be able to provide better service without any pressure. This model is being considered a big step towards financially empowering the drivers.

On Bharat Taxi app, passengers will get the facility of auto, car and bike taxi. This will provide a single platform for every need, from short distance to long travel. Customers will be able to choose the ride according to their budget and needs.

In Bharat Taxi, special emphasis has been laid on the safety of passengers. Police verification of all drivers will be mandatory. Apart from this, facilities like emergency button, live location sharing and trip history will also be available in the app, so that the passengers and their families can travel without any worries.
