President Murmu, PM Modi, CM Majhi, and Other Leaders Extend New Year 2026 Greetings
As India welcomed the New Year, leaders across the political spectrum extended warm greetings to citizens, expressing hope for peace, unity, progress and prosperity in 2026.
President Droupadi Murmu conveyed her heartfelt wishes to the people of India, hoping the New Year would bring happiness, positive change and collective well-being. Taking to social media platform X, the President emphasised harmony and progress as guiding values for the year ahead.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also greeted the nation, wishing everyone a happy and prosperous 2026. In his New Year message, the Prime Minister said the coming year should bring new hopes, fresh resolutions and renewed self-confidence. He expressed optimism that 2026 would inspire people to move forward with determination and positivity.
Joining national leaders, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi extended New Year greetings and called upon citizens to take meaningful resolutions. He urged people to work together for the development of a strong, inclusive and prosperous Odisha, highlighting unity and collective commitment as key to progress.
BJP National Vice-President and Kendrapara MP Baijayant Jay Panda wished citizens good health, peace and prosperity in the New Year, expressing hope for continued national growth and harmony.
Leader of the Opposition and BJD President Naveen Patnaik also shared his New Year greetings, expressing confidence that 2026 would bring happiness, peace and prosperity to people across the country.
