Nifty 50 top losers today, January 1: ITC, Dr. Reddy’s, Bajaj Finance, Tata Consumer Products, ONGC, Cipla and more

Indian equity benchmarks ended the first trading session of 2026 on a mixed note as markets witnessed intraday volatility. The Sensex slipped 32 points, or 0.04 percent, to close at 85,188.60, while the Nifty 50 edged higher by 16.95 points, or 0.06 percent, settling at 26,146.55. Despite the marginal overall movement, several heavyweight stocks ended the session in the red. Here are the top losers from the Nifty 50 index (as per Trendline).

  • ITC was the top loser on the Nifty 50, closing at ₹363.90, down 9.7%.

  • Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories ended at ₹1,253.40, registering a 1.4% decline.

  • Bajaj Finance closed at ₹973.10, down 1.4%.

  • Tata Consumer Products finished the session at ₹1,176.90, lower by 1.3%.

  • Oil and Natural Gas Corporation closed at ₹237.90, declining 1.0%.

  • Cipla ended at ₹1,500.90, down 0.7%.

  • Asian Paints settled at ₹2,752.00, slipping 0.6%.

  • Bharat Electronics closed at ₹397.70, lower by 0.5%.

  • ICICI Bank ended the day at ₹1,338.00, down 0.4%.

  • Bajaj Finserv closed at ₹2,037.00, marginally lower by 0.1%.
