Anand Kumar Birthday: Today is the birthday of that hero of the education world who not only solved the difficult problems of mathematics but also solved the difficult equations of the lives of thousands of poor children. We’re talking ‘Super-30’ (Super-30) founder and Padma Shri awardee Anand Kumar. His journey from zero to the top is the biggest source of inspiration for crores of youth around the world.

Anand Kumar’s childhood was spent in deprivation.

Born on January 1, 1973 in Patna, the capital of Bihar, Anand Kumar’s childhood was full of struggle. His father was a clerk in the postal department. Anand had a deep love for mathematics since childhood. His talent can be gauged from the fact that he got the opportunity to study at the world’s prestigious Cambridge University. However, destiny had other plans. Due to financial constraints and sudden demise of his father, he could not go to Cambridge. The situation became so bad that he had to sell papad along with his mother.

‘Super-30’ Got recognition in the world through

Seeing his dreams shattered, Anand Kumar decided that he would not let the dreams of any other poor student be shattered due to financial reasons. With this determination, in the year 2002, he launched ‘Super-30’. Started. Its mission was to select 30 talented economically backward students every year. Through this campaign, he used to provide free food, accommodation and coaching for IIT-JEE preparation to the students selected for Super-30. The result was that till now more than 500 students have reached prestigious institutions like IIT through Super-30.

When Hollywood and Bollywood also became fans

Anand Kumar’s fame was not limited to India only. ‘Time’ on his life and work magazine, ‘Newsweek’ and ‘Discovery Channel’ Made a documentary. In the year 2019, a film based on his life ‘Super 30’ was released. Was released, in which actor Hrithik Roshan played the role of Anand Kumar. The film took his story globally.
