Team India’s star players absorbed in devotion on the first day of the new year, took blessings of Mahakal
Indian Womens Team Mahakal Temple: After defeating Sri Lanka 5-0 in the T-20 series, the Indian team has started the new year with the darshan of Mahakal. Many star players of Team India including Smriti Mandhana, Shefali Verma reached Ujjain and took the blessings of Mahakal. In the video going viral on social media, Indian players are seen completely absorbed in devotion. Under the captaincy of Harmanpreet Kaur, the Indian team won the World Cup title for the first time by defeating South Africa in the final match on 2 November.
Team India took blessings of Mahakal
After a stellar performance against Sri Lanka, the Indian women’s cricket team came to seek the blessings of Mahakal. Indian players including Smriti Mandhana, Shefali Verma, Shreyanka Patil, Renuka Singh, Radha Yadav, Sneh Rana worshiped Mahakal. All the players also took part in Bhasma Aarti. Some players are also seen wearing chunni in the video.
The performance of both Indian batsmen and bowlers in the T-20 series against Sri Lanka was tremendous. Shefali Verma especially appeared in amazing form and was also awarded the Man of the Series award for scoring 241 runs at a strike rate of 181 in 5 matches.
