This former player got important responsibility in Pakistan cricket Gujarati

Now a new change is being seen in Pakistan cricket. Even though the team’s performance is continuously declining, the PCB is continuing its work. Now in a big change, PCB has given important responsibility to former player Azhar Mahmood. Now it will be interesting to see whether Azhar Mahmood’s promotion will have any impact on the team’s performance or the poor performance will continue like this.

Pakistan Cricket Board has announced that Azhar Mahmood is being made the acting head coach. Earlier he was playing the role of assistant coach. In such a situation, it should be believed that Azhar Mahmood has been given a promotion in a way. However, Azhar has been entrusted with this responsibility only in red ball i.e. Test cricket.

Azhar Mahmood is already associated with the Pakistani team, so this is not a new task for him. Besides, Azhar is also not a new name for the players. Azhar Mahmood was considered one of the greatest players of his time. He has taken 39 wickets in 21 Tests for Pakistan, while he has taken 123 wickets in 143 ODIs for Pakistan. Apart from this, he often used to do his work in batting also.

Pakistan Cricket Board has said in a release that Azhar Mahmood has come into this role with impressive experience. Having served as the assistant head coach of the national team, Azhar has long been an important part of the team’s strategic core. His deep knowledge of the game, combined with international experience and proven success on the English county circuit, makes him exceptionally suitable for the position.

Azhar Mahmood and Aaqib Javed have been playing the role of red-ball coaches after Jason Gillespina left at the end of last year. Mahmood’s first task will be to prepare the team for their next tasks in the new ICC World Test Championship cycle to be held next year.
