Ruckus in Ghazipur: Kalma instead of Saraswati Vandana in school? Hindu organizations surrounded DM office!
Rakesh Pandey, Ghazipur: A case has come to light from Ghazipur district of Uttar Pradesh which has brought the politics of the entire state to a boil. On the very first day of the new year, something happened during the prayers in a public school located in Mardah block of Ghazipur that Hindu organizations got enraged. It is alleged that instead of morning prayers, hundreds of Hindu students studying here were made to read ‘Kalma’ and prayers in Urdu. As soon as the video of this incident went viral on social media, there was a stir in the area and the administration was left in a tizzy.
90 percent Hindu children and allegations of foreign funding
MRD of Ghazipur. About 90 percent of the students studying in public schools are from the Hindu community. Hindutva organizations, especially Kshatriya Mahasabha and Brahmin Raksha Dal, have made very serious allegations against the school management. Organizations claim that children are being ‘brainwashed’ here on the basis of funding from some Jihadi organization or foreign powers. He says that including Kalma in prayers is a well-planned conspiracy to push children towards religious conversion.
Questions raised on management and demand for SIT investigation
Surprisingly, the manager and principal of the school belong to the Yadav family, but it is alleged that more than seventy percent of the female teachers in the school are from the Muslim community. After this revelation, the angry family members have submitted a letter to the District Magistrate demanding immediate cancellation of the recognition of the school. The organizations have sent a leaflet addressed to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and appealed for a SIT investigation into this entire matter so that this ‘circle of conversion’ can be exposed.
Demand for bulldozer action and administration’s stance
Hindu organizations of Ghazipur are so angry over this matter that they have even demanded to use bulldozers on the school. He says that Yogi government should take strict action against educational institutions which make fun of Sanatan Dharma. However, since it is the new year, the school management has got some time, but the District Magistrate has started investigating the matter. Now it remains to be seen whether the school gets a clean chit in the administration’s report or major action is taken under the pressure of Hindu organizations.
