Decline in beer sales

In contrast, beer sales declined by about 3.5 million cases during this period. This was due to the increase in the price of a 650 ml bottle from ₹150 to ₹180 and the cold December weather. The decline was seen in the state known as the beer capital of India. However, the introduction of multi-brand products under the new liquor policy definitely increased the value per purchase, which benefited the overall revenue.
