Haryana: Major reshuffle in Haryana Police, these senior IPS officers got new responsibility
Haryana News: With the new year, a large-scale reshuffle has started in the police administration in Haryana. As soon as the new Director General of Police (DGP) Ajay Singhal took charge, the government has assigned new responsibilities to many senior IPS officers. Under the orders issued on January 1, important appointments were made at the senior level, due to which the stir in the police department has intensified.
The government has appointed senior 1991 batch IPS officer Alok Mittal as Director General (DG) Prisons. Meanwhile, 1993 batch IPS Arshinder Singh Chawla has been given the responsibility of DG Vigilance. It is noteworthy that the names of these two officers were earlier also included in the race for the post of DGP of Haryana. Alok Mittal’s name was also in the UPSC panel, but ultimately the government expressed confidence in Ajay Singhal and appointed him DGP.
Apart from this, 1994 batch IPS Kalaramchandran has been made the director of Madhuban Police Academy, Karnal. Whereas, 1995 batch IPS C.S. Rao has been appointed DGP of Haryana Human Rights and Litigation. These appointments are being considered an important step towards further strengthening the police system.
On the other hand, new DGP Ajay Singhal reached the police headquarters in Panchkula and formally took charge. On this occasion, many senior police officers welcomed him with bouquets, while the soldiers greeted the new DGP by giving a salute.
