Indian Air Force has got its new Vice Chief of Air Staff. Air Marshal Nagesh Kapoor took charge on January 1. He has got this responsibility after the retirement of Air Marshal Narmadeshwar Tiwari. Air Marshal Nagesh Kapoor has an impressive experience of nearly 39 years. He has played roles ranging from fighter pilot to combat leader in the Air Force. He has been awarded the Vayu Sena Medal in 2008, Ati Vishisht Seva Medal in 2022, President’s Award, Param Vishisht Seva Medal and Best Yudh Seva Medal in 2025.
Air Marshal Nagesh Kapoor in 1985 From National Defense Academy Earned a bachelor’s degree. According to the press note of the Defense Ministry, Air Marshal Nagesh Kapoor has more than 3400 hours of experience flying fighter planes. He has flown all variants of MiG-21 and MiG-29.
