New Delhi. The route of the country’s first Vande Bharat sleeper train has been announced on the first day of the New Year. The country’s first Vande Bharat sleeper train will run between Kolkata and Guwahati and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will soon flag off this train. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that the testing and certification work of the train has been completed. This is a big milestone for the Railways. Vande Bharat Sleeper Train will provide world-class amenities, safety and a modern travel experience to passengers on long distance night journeys.

Giving information, the Union Railway Minister said that Assamese food will be served in the train coming from Guwahati and Bengali food will be served in the train going from Kolkata. Ashwini Vaishnav discussed the technology and design of Vande Bharat Sleeper trains and gave information about advanced safety systems, modern aerodynamics, better suspension, energy-efficient traction and enhanced passenger amenities for long distance travel. The Railway Minister said that there is a plan to run 8 Vande Bharat sleeper trains in 6 months. By the end of this year, 12 new Vande Bharat sleeper trains will be built.
The date of inauguration of the first Vande Bharat sleeper train will be finalized in a day or two. Whereas the train will be started in 15 to 20 days. Let us tell you that Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav had shared a video of the speed trial of Vande Bharat Sleeper train two days ago. In this video, the train was running at a speed of 180 km per hour and glasses filled with water were kept inside the train, the special thing is that despite the high speed of the train, not even a drop of water fell from the glass.
