Tail 01 December 2026: Army has seized explosive material in Poonch near LOC under Jammu division. Officials had said that the Army had seized suspicious material thrown by the drone near the India-Pakistan border in Poonch district.
He said that this incident took place early in the morning in Chakkan Da Bagh area of Khari village, between Rangar drain and Poonch river. He said that the army found a bag containing dozens of ammunition and a yellow colored tiffin box, which is suspected to be an Improvised Explosive Device (IED).
Search for three terrorists continues in Udhampur
Security agencies have made the fight against terrorism more stringent in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir. Amid continuous reports of suspicious activities, security forces are on the ground and a massive operation is underway to eliminate the terrorists. Three terrorists are currently active in Udhampur district, and their activities are being regularly monitored.
To kill these terrorists, anti-terrorist operations are being carried out continuously by the security forces for the last 20 days. Udhampur SSP Amod Ashok Nagpur gave this information in a press conference organized during the ongoing operation in Jofar area of Ramnagar taluka.
Search operation underway in Pathankot
The army is on high alert in the border areas for the New Year. Before this, the army has also taken position on the Punjab-Jammu border. Due to the fear of unrest and suspected attack by terrorists on New Year in Pathankot, the search operation was continued even today in Bamiyal area adjacent to Kathua in Jammu and Kashmir.
This search operation was led by DSP Operations Gurbaksh Singh. BSF personnel, Ghatak commandos and police searched the area along the river bank and the ruined building.
