Rao Danish’s murder in AMU: friendship and property dispute

The murder of Rao Danish in Aligarh Muslim University was completely planned. Police have collected evidence of racketeering, arms supply and absconding strategy. Friendship dispute, property dispute and construction complaint have become the main angles in the investigation.

Uttar pradesh: According to the police, the murder of Rao Danish on December 24 did not happen suddenly, rather it was a long-planned incident. The attackers first conducted a recce of ABK Boys College and the surrounding area for several days. The area was inspected at least five times, from the paan stall to the inside of the campus.

Two days before the murder, six pistols were supplied from Kela Nagar area of ​​Aligarh. Besides, a blue scooter and a black bike were also arranged for the attackers. On the day of the murder, Rao Danish was leaving Kennedy Park with his associates Shahid alias Bholu and teacher Imran. Then the shooter opened fire. During the attack, one shooter kept firing continuously and the other kept covering him.

three main angles in investigation

Police investigation has revealed three main reasons so far. First, years old friendship dispute. About eight-ten years ago, Danish had a dispute with his friend, in which he beat him in front of the friend’s wife.

Second, a dispute over a property deal worth crores. Danish was a partner in a property deal and there was a dispute over non-payment of his share amount. Third, complaint about a multi-storey building under construction in Amirnisha area. Danish and his colleagues had complained, after which the work stopped. Police are thoroughly investigating all these angles.

attackers’ strategy

The attackers had also deployed two other miscreants as backup before the incident. His job was to hold the front in crowded conditions. Shortly before the incident, an accident took place at Maulana Azad Library intersection, due to which students gathered. It was in this chaos that the attackers committed the crime.

After the murder, the attackers reached Jamalpur Eidgah via Suleman Hall, NCC office street, Tuti Boundary and VIP Street. From there he tried to escape from the Sanctuary Gate towards the old toll bridge.

CCTV was also bad

Police found out after the incident that most of the CCTV cameras of AMU were faulty. Proctor Wasim Ali said that the cameras malfunctioned due to lack of maintenance. Now the work of repairing these cameras has been started. Apart from this, a person selling peanuts tried to make a video with a mobile camera at the time of the incident, but the miscreant stopped him by showing a pistol.

The police now have many important clues, with the help of which a plan is being made to catch the attackers soon and reveal the real reason behind the murder.
