Main accused CA Satinder Singh Kohli arrested in the case of 328 missing forms of Sri Guru Granth Sahib.
Chandigarh:In a major success, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Punjab Police has arrested the main accused Chartered Accountant Satinder Singh Kohli in the case of missing 328 sacred forms of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. This information was given by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab’s chief spokesperson and MLA Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal and senior AAP Punjab leader Baltej Pannu.
Satinder Singh Kohli arrested from hotel
AAP Punjab’s chief spokesperson and MLA Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal said that today this is a big achievement for the Sikh Sangats, which was being awaited for the last four-five years. He told that in the case registered on the instructions of the High Court, today the SIT has arrested Satinder Singh Kohli from a hotel in Chandigarh, who is currently a chartered accountant of SGPC and is the main accused in the case of missing forms.
MLA Dhaliwal said that for the last several years, Sikh organizations have been mobilizing and protesting demanding justice in this case. There was also a big mobilization under the leadership of Bhai Baldev Singh Wadala, the famous Kirtankar of Sikhism. He said that this is the first arrest in this case and that too of the main accused.
Assuring the Sikh Sangats, Dhaliwal said that all the 16 culprits who caused the disappearance of Guru Granth Sahib Ji will be caught and sent behind the bars. This is the commitment of the Punjab government.
Police investigation continues
Meanwhile, senior AAP Punjab leader Baltej Pannu said that the Honorable Punjab-Haryana High Court, while recently hearing the petition related to the missing of 328 sacred forms, had given instructions for investigation. After this, Punjab Police registered an FIR against 16 people and SIT was formed.
Pannu said that LOC (Look Out Circular) has been issued against all the 16 named accused. Arrest warrants were already issued for Satinder Singh Kohli, who was staying in a hotel in Chandigarh while hiding from the police. Baltej Pannu said that the police investigation is going on, it is expected that there will be many more revelations in this case, because the audit of SGPC has also been done by the same CA.
