The commission will give its recommendations regarding changes in the salary structure, allowances and pension of state employees. The special thing is that the period of 7th Pay Commission is ending from January 1, 2026, hence this decision has been taken at the right time.

According to estimates, after the implementation of the 8th Pay Commission, the minimum salary of Level-1 employees may increase from Rs 18,000 to around Rs 38,700. In Level-5 it may increase from Rs 29,200 to around Rs 62,780. At the same time, the salary of Level-10 can increase from Rs 56,100 to more than Rs 1.20 lakh. The salary of top level i.e. Level-18 officers is expected to increase from Rs 2.50 lakh to around Rs 5.37 lakh.

Senior officers and pensioners will get the most benefits
