In Sonbhadra, Collectorate got the gift of Son Sushma Park on New Year, MLA and District Magistrate inaugurated it.

January 01, 2026 On the arrival of the new year 2026, Sonbhadra district has received a special gift. To enhance the natural beauty of the Collectorate complex and for the convenience of the general public, the newly constructed Son Sushma Park was formally inaugurated today. During the program, the chief guest was MLA Ghorawal Dr. Anil Kumar Maurya and District Magistrate B.N. Singh jointly inaugurated the park by cutting the ribbon. It has been made clear by the administration that this park will be open not only for the officers but also for the common citizens. For all citizens.
Addressing the gathering after the inauguration from 10:00 am to 05:00 pm, MLA Dr. Anil Kumar Maurya said that with the construction of this park in the Collectorate premises, the complainants coming from far and wide will get a pleasant place to sit. He emphasized that this park will not only enhance the beauty of the campus but will also become a center of health benefits for the morning and evening walkers.

District Magistrate B.N. Singh told that this project was done by Hon. This is part of the instructions of the Chief Minister in which he had talked about the development of parks and auditoriums in the district. He announced that after the beginning of Son Sushma Park and Shakunt Park, now such parks will be constructed at other places in the district also. Besides, construction of a state-of-the-art auditorium will also be ensured soon.
Superintendent of Police Abhishek Verma gave an important suggestion in the program. He said that the vacant lands under the Municipal Council overbridge should be beautified. This will not only make the city look beautiful, but will also prevent accidents happening there. The District Magistrate agreed to this and instructed the Municipality to prepare an action plan. On this occasion, there was a gathering of senior officials of the administration, who were prominently involved.
Jagriti Awasthi (Chief Development Officer) who also announced the construction of a similar park at Vikas Bhawan. Utkarsh Dwivedi (Joint Magistrate/Block Chief Sadar) Vagish Kumar Shukla (Additional District Magistrate, Vidhan Sabha) who expressed his gratitude.
