The lyricist has expressed his displeasure over the video and has said that he will take big steps against it.

What’s in a deepfake video?

Actually, a video of Javed Akhtar is going viral on social media, in which a fake image of him has been created with the help of AI. In the video, he is shown wearing a cap and it is being claimed that he has now followed the path of Allah and has become religious. After which Javed Akhtar expressed his displeasure and called this video completely false. He posted on his X account and wrote – ‘A fake video is going viral. In this, a fake computer generated photograph of me is shown with a cap on my head and it is claimed that I have become God. This is nonsense.

A fake video is in circulation showing my fake computer generated picture with a topi on my head claiming that ultimately I have turned to God. It is rubbish. I am seriously considering to report this to the cyber police and ultimately dragged the person responsible for this…

Javed Akhtar has talked about taking action regarding this deepfake video of his. He further said in his post, ‘I am seriously considering reporting this to the cyber police and dragging the person responsible for this fake news and some people who forwarded it to court for damaging my reputation and credibility.’ At the same time, Javed Akhtar has shared another post, in which his AI photo is visible.
