In the viral video, Girdhari Lal Sahu can be heard saying, “Girls are available in Bihar for 20-25 thousand rupees, we will bring girls from Bihar for the bachelors.” The statement was made during a program organized at Syahidevi mandal in Someshwar assembly constituency of Almora district, where Sahu had attended on December 23.

Congress strongly condemned

Congress District President Guddu Bhoj strongly condemned this statement and said, “Such comments are against the BJP government’s ‘Beti Padhao, Beti Bachao’ Like it exposes the truth of slogans.” He said that this thinking of treating women as objects is not acceptable under any circumstances. This statement has once again heated up the politics of the state, and now it remains to be seen what steps are taken by the government and other leaders on this matter.
