Todd Murphy is an Australian cricketer who bowls right-arm off spin. He made his first-class debut for Victoria in April 2021 and his Test debut for Australia in February 2023. Murphy was part of the Australian team that won the 2023 ICC World Test Championship final.

Todd Murphy’s Personal Life
Murphy comes from a cricketing family in Victoria. His father, Jamie, played alongside Shane Warne at St Kilda and supported Todd through his career. Murphy initially saw himself as a batsman but switched to off-spin after guidance from Chris Howard at a youth program in Rochester, Victoria. He progressed through U-19 Australia, first-class cricket, and the Australia A team before making his Test debut.
At 22, Murphy debuted in Nagpur against India and took a five-wicket haul. His family traveled from Victoria to watch, calling it a “tremendous feeling.”
Murphy was pursuing a dual degree in Exercise and Sport Science and Business (Sport Management) at Deakin University in 2022. He is also a supporter of the Collingwood Football Club in the AFL.
