Vietnam’s automobile company VinFast demonstrated such a performance as soon as it came to India that even the big giants were surprised. In just a few months, VinFast made it to the Top 5 in EV sales, leaving behind companies like Hyundai and Kia.

Great start of VinFast in India

VinFast launched its VF6 and VF7 electric SUVs in the Indian market just before the festive season. Due to the right timing and powerful features, people embraced these vehicles. By December 2025, the company’s sales became so strong that VinFast directly reached the list of Top 5 EV companies.

EV Sales Report for December 2025

According to VAHAN data, Tata Motors remained at the first position in December 2025, while MG and Mahindra stood at the second and third positions. In this list, VinFast achieved fourth position by registering 375 units. The special thing was that VinFast left behind the sales of 262 units of Hyundai and 313 units of Kia.

VF6 and VF7 changed the game

VF6 and VF7 SUVs have a big role behind the success of VinFast. The ex-showroom price of these electric SUVs has been kept between Rs 16.49 lakh to Rs 25.49 lakh. This is the same segment where Indian customers like to buy EVs the most. Stylish design, good range and features won the trust of customers.

VinFast’s hold will become stronger in future

There is news that VinFast may launch another affordable electric car named Limo Green in the coming time. If this model comes at a cheaper price, the company’s hold will become even stronger. Apart from this, VinFast is also preparing to enter the electric two-wheeler segment in India.
