To stop the theft of privacy, how to stop the cleverness of the smartphone through which it comes to know everything?

News India Live, Digital Desk: Whatever conversation you have, apps try to convert it into ‘search preferences’. In fact, many times we knowingly or unknowingly give microphone permission to apps. These apps run in the background and capture keywords from our conversations. For this reason, you have to face the onslaught of advertisements of your choice. How to stop this ‘digital spying’? The way to save privacy is hidden in the settings of your phone itself. All you need to do is take a few steps: Google’s ‘Accounts’ settings: Go to your phone’s ‘Settings’ and click ‘Google’. Here in ‘Manage your Google Account’ find the ‘Data & Privacy’ section. There is an option in this ‘Personalized Ads’ or ‘Ad Settings’. Switch it off. This prevents Google from profiling you based on personal information. Turn off the microphone: Many apps don’t need a mic (like a wallpaper app or a calculator), but they still have it on. Go to your phone’s ‘Privacy’ or ‘Apps’ settings and see ‘Permission Manager’ to see which apps are using your mic. Set ‘Deny’ or ‘Don’t Allow’ to unnecessary apps. Control voice assistance: If you do not use ‘Hey Google’ or ‘Hey Siri’ very much, then it is better that you turn off their ‘Listen’ feature. When the phone is always ready to listen when you call, it has a direct impact on your battery and it constantly tracks your voice. The battery will also benefit. When you turn off these background settings and permissions, your phone stops the processing happening internally. This simply means longer battery backup and less overheating of the phone. A little advice from me: use technology for its own sake, don’t leave yourself ‘open’ to it. Sometimes after updating apps they ask for these permissions again, so it is a good habit to check your privacy settings once every month. Your personal information should remain only between you and your friend, and not with any marketing server.
