External Affairs Minister’s strong message to Pakistan: “India will do whatever is necessary in its defence”; Jaishankar roared in ‘Shastra 2026’
Chennai. External Affairs Minister Dr. S. during the inauguration ceremony of ‘Shastra 2026’ program organized at IIT Madras. Jaishankar expressed his views openly on India’s foreign policy and national security. Without taking names, he gave a strong message to Pakistan and said that if any country continuously spreads terrorism, then India is completely free to take action against it.
Main points of the speech-
Right to self-defense: The Foreign Minister said, “If a country deliberately and continuously spreads terrorism, then we also have the right to self-defense against terrorism and we will also use it.” “Nobody can tell us what to do or what not to do,” he stressed.
Water and terrorism do not go together: Jaishankar reminded Pakistan of the water sharing agreement, saying, “You cannot say please share water with us, but we will continue terrorism. This cannot happen.”
Neighboring Policy: He also mentioned India’s positive neighborhood policy. He said that India invests in its good neighboring countries and even during the Corona epidemic, it helped by providing the vaccine first.
The Foreign Minister made it clear that whatever needs to be done for India’s security will be done.
