The core theme of the WPL 2026 jersey has been kept as ‘Wicket Pulse’. Kristen Beams becomes spin bowling coach

Earlier, Mumbai Indians had taken a big coaching decision before the WPL 2026 season. The franchise has appointed former Australian leg spinner Kristen Beams as the spin bowling coach.

Kristen Beams was the third highest wicket taker in the 2017 ODI World Cup. He has played 1 Test, 30 ODIs and 18 T20Is for Australia. Beams has played 45 matches in WBBL. After retiring from playing, Beams has left his mark in coaching as well.

Champion in coaching also

Beams also has a lot of experience in coaching. He coached the WBBL, The Hundred and Australia Women’s U-19 team. Along with this, he played the role of National Development Lead in Cricket Australia. She was also the Community Cricket Manager (South) at Cricket Tasmania.
