Kathmandu. Qatar has announced amnesty to 13 Nepali citizens lodged in different jails on its National Day and International Human Rights Day.
Nepal’s Foreign Ministry said that this amnesty has been given to 13 Nepali prisoners serving sentence in various cases in Qatar jails. All of them had gone to Qatar to work as laborers and for some reason all of them were serving a sentence in jail.
The Ministry today thanked the Government of Qatar for the amnesty and expressed gratitude for this generously provided humanitarian initiative.
