Bacteria found in water sample
Speaking to The Hindu, Indore divisional commissioner Sudam Khade said that bacterial infection has been found in 26 water samples. Mahatma Gandhi Memorial (MGM) Medical College has sent a report to Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC). More than 70 samples were taken from different places in the area. Following this disclosure, IMC took immediate action and completely cleaned the supply line and repaired the leakage. Mr Khade said chlorine tablets had been distributed in the area and residents had been advised to boil water before drinking it. He also said that the number of patients in OPD is now decreasing.
NHRC took suo motu cognizance
NHRC, taking suo motu cognizance of the situation, has found that the main pipeline supplying drinking water to the area is passing under a ‘public toilet’, thereby deteriorating the quality of the water being supplied. NHRC in its notice said that as per reports, residents had been complaining about contaminated water supply for several days, but no action was taken by the authorities. According to media reports, the main pipeline, which supplies drinking water to the area, passes beneath a public toilet. Due to leakage in the main line, sewage water reportedly mixed with drinking water. Apart from this, several water distribution lines were also found broken in the area, due to which contaminated water was reaching homes.
Meanwhile, IMC Commissioner Dilip Yadav told The Hindu that 100 water tankers have been sent to the area to cater to the emergency needs of residents.
Situation calmed down after Vijayvargiya’s apology

When this video went viral on social media, netizens reacted strongly to Vijayvargiya’s alleged misbehavior. However, the situation calmed down after Vijayvargiya apologized on X.
