What changes were made in ‘Dhurandhar’?

According to the information, instructions were issued by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting regarding the film, after which some changes have been made. The new revised version of the film is being shown in all theaters across the country from January 1, 2026. According to the report of Bollywood Hungama, the word ‘Baloch’ has been muted in the film. Besides, some other words and dialogues have also been changed.

Order issued by Government of India

According to media reports, on December 31, an email was sent by the distributors to theater owners across the country. It was said that the digital copy (DCP) of the film has been updated. Two words have been muted and one dialogue has been slightly changed. These changes have been made on the instructions of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of the Government of India. Theater operators have been requested to download the new copy and play only this revised version from January 1, 2026.

According to media reports, the word ‘Baloch’ has been muted only at one or two places in the film. The change came after some people from the Baloch community filed a petition against the film in the Gujarat High Court last week. They demanded that the film contained hate material against their community. The petitioners presented a dialogue of Sanjay Dutt – ‘We can trust the crocodile, but not the Baloch’ – as evidence and said that it was extremely objectionable and inciting hatred.
