Lenovo AI Server Manufacturing: Global technology leader Lenovo plans to make India a major export hub for its infrastructure business. As part of this initiative, it will design and manufacture artificial intelligence (AI) servers in India for the global market, the company’s vice president and general manager Scott Teece explained while speaking at CES 2026. The company will use its Bangalore-based development lab to develop the AI ​​server system, which will then be manufactured at its plant in Pondicherry for server designs for both domestic use and export.

He said that we will be manufacturing many of our single and two-socket systems in India. Think of them as the backbone of AI in the future. We will manufacture it in India, after the design and engineering is done, we will also manufacture it here. It will be an important part of Lenovo’s value chain. Hence, there is no question of any hindrance in manufacturing servers in India and exporting them globally in future. Lenovo India is one of the companies selected for the Rs 17,000 crore IT Hardware Manufacturing Incentive Scheme.
