Virat Kohli, who played an important role in India’s victory in Vadodara, was given the Player of the Match award. During this, when Kohli was asked in the post match presentation whether he was thinking about his 54th century? To this he said, “If I am completely honest, the way I am playing right now, I am not thinking about milestones at all. Had we been batting first, perhaps I would have played faster. But in the chase, with the total on the board, I had to play according to the situation. I felt like hitting more boundaries, but experience helps. The only thing in my mind was to put the team in a position where We can win comfortably.”

During this, Kohli was asked what has changed in his approach? To this, the Indian batsman said, “The basic idea is that I bat at number three, if the situation is difficult, I trust myself to counter attack instead of waiting. You can have your name on any ball, so there is no point in being passive. Also, you don’t play strange shots – you stick to your strengths. Today, when I came in after Rohit got out, I felt that if I bat in the first 20 balls, If I play fast, we can put the opposition on the backfoot. That’s what made the difference.”

Let us tell you that in Vadodara, India won the toss and decided to bat first. After which New Zealand lost 8 wickets in the first innings and scored 300 in 50 overs.
