Electric Scooter: Further intensifying the competition in the electric two-wheeler segment, Simple Energy has launched its next generation electric scooter Simple One Gen 2. The company has fixed its limited-time introductory ex-showroom price at Rs 1.39 lakh. Along with this, Simple Energy has also unveiled its upcoming premium model Simple Ultra, whose claimed range and performance has created a stir in the market.

Simple Ultra: 400 KM range claimed

Simple Ultra has a large battery pack of 6.5 kWh, with which the company has claimed an IDC certified range of 400 kilometers. This scooter can accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in just 2.77 seconds. However, the company has not yet shared much information regarding the price and launch timeline of this model. Due to its excellent range and performance, it is being considered to compete with premium electric scooters of Ola, Bajaj, TVS and Ather Energy.

Simple One Gen 2: Major changes in design and hardware

Simple One Gen 2 has been introduced with updated graphics and sharp styling. It has a newly designed rear-view mirror and reworked chassis. According to the company, the new chassis provides 22% more rigidity and lateral stiffness, which improves stability and ride confidence at high-speeds.
The scooter is available in three new color options—Sonic Red, Aero X and Asphalt X. Simple Energy is also offering lifetime warranty on battery and motor on all its scooters.

Special focus on ride quality and safety

In Simple One Gen 2, the suspension has been re-tuned and the seat height has been lowered by 16 mm, making long distance rides more comfortable. The scooter can handle gradients of up to 18 degrees with ease. Braking performance has also been improved, with braking distance said to be between 18.49 meters and 19.6 metres.

New Simple OS and Smart Features

This scooter runs on the new Simple OS, in which many software-driven features have been provided. For safety, features like Drop Safe, Super Hold, Parking Mode and real-time vehicle monitoring are available.
It has a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, which supports auto brightness, Bluetooth connectivity and non-touch interface. Connected features can be accessed through the Simple Connect app, which includes options like geofencing, theft and tow alerts.
